Formed as a campaign for Illinois ratification, the work of ERA Illinois was fueled by partners around the state.
Our advocacy continues post-ratification. In 2020, ERA Illinois was instrumental in coordinating an amicus brief on behalf of advocates from the three recently ratified states. Thank you to Trish Wallace for her excellent writing.
The success of Illinois's ratification in 2018 was due to the work of countless individuals, clubs, groups, and chapters. Some have been working towards our success for decades. We are forever grateful to the following organizations for their support or collaboration on the final push for ratification:
American Association of University Women (AAUW) - Illinois
Chicago Bar Association (CBA)
ERA Action
ERA Illinois Coalition of Bloomington-Normal
Illinois Action
Illinois Federation of Business Women’s Clubs (IFBWC)
Illinois State Bar Association (Women and the Law Committee) ISBA
Indivisible Illinois
League of Women Voters (LWV) – Illinois
Men4Choice
Mom + Baby
National Organization of Women (NOW) - Illinois
Resister Sisterhood
Women’s Bar Association of Illinois (WBAI)
Women Employed
Women’s March of Chicago (WMC)
Working Women's History Project (WWHP)
